Hi there, I've been looking for ways to streamline the creation of incredible fonts since I first started making fonts back in 2013. In November I took a huge step in the right direction: I bought a pen tablet! One of the first fonts I drew up with my new pen table is called 'Sailor Tattoo Hand'. Sailor Tattoo Hand Regular is a hand-drawn monoline serif tattoo script designed for flash painters and merch designers. Tattoo Boss Monoline is a modular monoline tattoo font for merch designs and flash paintings. The font uses long geometric curves, is provided in multiple weights, and features a ton of alternates. Today we are proud to announce the release of Backtrack Regular! Backtrack Regular was a challenging font to create. The font was inspired by a graphic from the New York hardcore band Backtrack. From the graphic, we took the offset shadow, the cracks, and the shading concepts. From there, we searched for a heavyweight sans serif to use as a letter template. We then sketched out the font in Illustrator, taking care to find the perfect shading brush. We took extreme care to ensure that all the components were kept separate so that we would be able to create as many variations on the font as possible. We weren't successful! My father lives downtown each summer, next to a brew pub. Over its outdoor patio, there is a huge mural featuring its name. The pub name is painted in 8-foot tall letters on the brick facade. I love the letters, the look, the shape. I've always wanted to add something similar to our collection of fonts on offer. One day while reviewing our existing fonts, I noticed that our Turbonacular font had many of the same shapes, but had been built with round corners, instead of square corners. Humbley is our new favorite modern calligraphy font, a fun hand-drawn script that's perfect for your next inspirational art print, mug, postcard, pillow, etc. Humbley was originally drawn with a Pentel Fude Touch Sign pen, and then edited to have a thick, chunky vibe.
